The Sims 4 Werewolf Transformation Set for June 16
Open your collar because EA and Maxis have confirmed that the next expansion for The Sims 4 is getting a little hairy thanks to the return of werewolves on June 16. The Sims 4: Werewolves is the 12th game pack released for the ever-evolving life simulation so far, and will add the new world of Moonwood Mill, which is simply filled with canine monstrosities. Howl at the trailer below.
You can choose whether your Sim becomes a werewolf by being bitten or born into a whole fluffy family of toothy plagues. They will also be able to join a pack of werewolves and connect with potential mates at a place called “Howling Point”. You can also play as a lone wolf.
Your Sim can choose to accept or fight against being a werewolf, and they will be affected by the phases of the moon with the returning lunar cycle system. EA also says your Sim will encounter “wolf-specific life events.” I’m not sure exactly what this entails, but I’m guessing fleas. The trailer features a wolf guitarist in a spiked collar, so maybe they just mean that every teenager goes through a stage when they want to start a band?
EA first announced early last month that werewolves would return to The Sims. Lycanthropes found their way into The Sims 2 in 2006 with the Pets expansion, then reappeared in The Sims 3 Supernatural expansion in 2012.
The Sims 4: Werewolves will be released on June 16 on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. It will be available on Steam for £18/$20/€20.
