The Sims is widely regarded as one of the most successful game franchises to ever exist, and it’s not hard to see why.

The game forces you to play God and control your own world, and you can spend endless hours doing it!

There are different ways to make money in The Sims 4, but not all of them will make your sim rich.

First, we will consider the most profitable way to earn money, that is, self-employment.

However, we’ll also include some of the not-so-tasty ways Simmers can earn money, including tips for those who don’t care to perfect themselves.

Open a business

If you want your Sim to get rich without cheating, you’ll need to find a way to sell what you earn in-game.

To enter cheat codes in The Sims 4, you must first open the cheat console by pressing Ctrl+Shift+C on your PC.

Some of the most effective money cheats include:

kaching Get 1,000 Simoleons
Rosebud Get 1,000 Simoleons
mother lode Obtain 50,000 Simoleons
Money {number} Replace Household Funds with the exact number
FreeRealEstate {on/off} All lots are free when you enter this cheat when you are in the neighborhood/world

Enter your code in the “cheat dialog” and it will be activated!


Being able to live off what you collect takes a bit of luck and a lot of skill.

Your sim’s survivor can dig rocks, catch bugs (if you have outdoor retreat), and try to track down rare items.
