The Sims 4 devs tease [redacted]

The Sims 4 devs tease a middle finger [redacted] announcement, which could mean anything from a kit to a new expansion pack. But given the excitement the folks at Maxis are getting, it seems likely this will be a pretty big announcement – and given the very negative reaction to the very buggy wedding DLC, the game probably needs something big in this moment.

The developers used the [redacted] gag to tease several Sims 4 announcements in the past, and as noted by fan sites like Sims Community, they’re doing it again. The mysterious [redacted] at new features, new shoesand new object text, developers are very excited about itand no, they don’t tell us anything more at the moment.

We received a Sims 4 roadmap earlier this year outlining updates for Q1 2022, but that roadmap expires at the end of March. It’s been nearly a year since the last major expansion pack, Cottage Living, and the developers had been running a cadence of bi-annual expansion launches since 2018.

For now, a big patch for the My Wedding Stories DLC is on the way, and the developers have just rolled out a major Neighborhood Stories update.
