Sims 4 patch removes incest and fixes groundbreaking age bugs

A new patch for The Sims 4 removed the option to engage in incestuous relationships and also fixed bugs related to aging Sims.

The previous Sims 4 update brought a litany of bugs and issues. While most were small, more cosmetic things, two big issues arose that caused players to call EA developers to fix them immediately.

The first being that players have documented issues with their Sims aging. Specifically, they age at a faster rate than they should. The second major issue that stems from the latest update is that the wanted option for Sims has been changed in some way, allowing Sims to choose and want to date their siblings.

Both of these issues have caused a major backlash in the Sims community, with players furiously demanding EA remove incest from The Sims 4 and ensure Sims age appropriately.

In response to the online review, EA has just released a hotfix to help fix both of these issues. They also fixed a few other less pressing issues in the latest patch. In the patch notes, EA also offered a “huge thank you to everyone in the community who helped us resolve these issues.”
