Sims 4 Patch Finally Fixes Broken Wedding Pack

The marriage patch for The Sims 4 is finally here. The recent My Wedding Stories game pack has indeed given players plenty of wedding stories, but most of them are about broken features, bad fashion choices, or celebrants refusing to officiate. The patch promised to fix these issues is live, and based on initial reports from players, it appears the update has been quite successful.

You can read the full patch notes on the official site, but there are a few doozies here. “Partners will now show up for wedding events,” which seems pretty essential. “Sims with a bigger behind will no longer have their behind to squeeze through ymTop_GP11Casual”, and while I’m not sure what outfit it’s flippant, I’m glad it can now support loot.

“Sims who lean towards their spouse during a ‘marriage kiss’ will no longer rub their ear against the other sim’s face, but use their lips to kiss their spouse instead” is probably my patch note. favorite day here, but more basic fixes – like those allowing weddings to go ahead as planned – are certainly more relevant for those who’ve spent the past few weeks frustrated with My Wedding Stories.

fan sites and Sims YouTubers have already put the patch through its paces, and first word looks good. It’s not perfect, but now the pack works more or less as expected.

However, the developer note that there is no solution for error code 0 here. Investigations into this matter are still ongoing.
