SheKnows: First off, can you explain why you partnered with Carter’s this year and how you curated this must-have list?

Molly Sims: The holidays are my favorite time of year, but as many families know, it’s also a busy time for all of us. That’s why I was thrilled to kick off the season with Carter’s and together offer families the chance to win great prizes and gift cards through their Ultimate Holiday Giveaway to help check their holiday lists. I’ve also curated a list of my must-have items from Carter’s, OshKosh B’gosh and Skip Hop to provide some shopping inspiration, with everything I’d like to give or receive, like matching comfy pajamas, adorable outfits for my kids , and great gear and accessories for friends and family.

SK: How does your family celebrate the holidays this year?

MRS: With all the fun projects to come, we’re also going to be spending some much-needed family time together at home to relax and unwind. The most important thing to me is just being able to be together and make new memories by enjoying the time we have at home and making it as easy and stress-free as possible. The tree, the trimmings and we decorate the house from top to bottom, we also look forward to quiet times together, just comfy at home in our matching Carter family pajamas watching movies and playing games. We love a good dance party every year – and this year Carter’s has teamed up with KIDZ BOP for the Ultimate Holiday Party with the best kids songs, music videos and holiday ideas for us to enjoy. We’re really going!

SK: Do you have any favorite Christmas traditions to share?

MRS: Holiday traditions are super fun to create. Our favorite is choosing a tree to decorate together. We’re still going to see the holiday lights, but we also make sure to relax and warm up in our pajamas all day. It really is the softest and most comfortable accessory of the season. We love wearing them to bake cookies, make hot apple cider and hot chocolate bombs to enjoy while we decorate our tree.

SK: Fill in the blank for us here: Nothing says “holiday” to me like _________.

MRS: Family and laughter and holiday lights and the smell of a big holiday candle.

SK: What’s on your kids’ wish lists this year?

MRS: Brooks loves all things Pokemon, Gray is very fond of dinosaurs, and Scarlett wants a jewelry making kit.

SK: Carter’s makes adorable kids clothes, but where do you go for your own style? What are your favorite picks for stylish items that guide you through a typical day?

MRS: For any busy mom, layering is essential, whether it’s running errands with the kids, dropping them off at school, or going to a business meeting. One of my favorite basics is a great cardigan because you can wear it with anything and layer a cute shirt underneath. Leggings and a nice pair of black pants are essential. I also like a large camel or black coat too. Layering is key!!!!!!!

SK: How has your style evolved since becoming a mom — and mom of three, no less?!

MRS: Comfort is key. If you don’t like it in store, you won’t like it at home. Whatever you choose should be simple and versatile and one less thing to think about during the day. Also, I’m more monochromatic with my clothes than before. I like the color, but it’s easier to [go] from day to night with more neutral colors. Also, this mom is now wearing moccasins :))))
