The Sims 4 supports cheat codes, whether on a computer or a console.
The Sims 4 is by far the biggest game in the series. If you want an example of this, just open Build Mode – chances are you’ll find more items than you can even imagine using.
But many of these items are locked at the start and can only be unlocked once your Sim has reached a certain stage in their life or started a new job. This can make designing your perfect life more difficult than necessary.
Fortunately, The Sims games are famous for the number of cheat codes they offer. And there are two cheat codes in particular that will unlock every item in the game for you.
Here’s how to unlock all items in The Sims 4 using cheats.
How to Unlock All Items in The Sims 4
These cheats work for all versions of The Sims 4 – PC, Mac, Xbox and PlayStation.
First, open the command console. On a PC or Mac, tap Ctrl+Shift+C Where Command + Shift + C, respectively. On an Xbox or PlayStation, tap the four shoulder buttons immediately.
With the command console open, type and submit true cheat test. This will enable all cheat codes in the future.
Next, we’ll type in the two cheat codes that unlock the items. Type and submit:
- bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement
- bb.showliveeditobjects

Quick advice: You can also type and submit bb.showhiddenobjects to unlock debugging items that are usually inaccessible, such as rocks and trees. But beware, these items are not normally meant to be placed, so they can sometimes cause problems on your maps.
Once you submit these codes, you will be able to find all items in the game in Build Mode. They will always cost money, so be sure to save your money – or use the mother lode cheat to instantly win 50,000 Simoleons.
