How to Fix The Sims 4 “Aging” Issue

Jit sims 4 is getting lots of updates which can add a lot of fun to the game. On July 26, 2022, players received an update which added more wants and fears, sexual orientation options, curved walls, hairs, phone updates, etc., all for free. Unfortunately, this patch also came with a free bug that rendered many game saves unplayable. The new aging glitch causes Sims to age prematurely for no reason.

The player logs out of a game session, then logs back in to find that all of their Sims have grown. Players had already backed up some files, and there didn’t seem to be a reason or solution. We have a workaround, and it’s important that you follow our instructions as soon as possible. If you continue to play without the workaround, you’ll be stuck with aged Sims.

The Sims 4 aging bug workaround

The only current way to avoid the aging bug is to play a save where your Sims’ lifespan is set to normal or default, according to an official statement. The Sims Community site. The long and short life options are currently broken.

This only affects you if your aging slider is set to short, long, or custom. If you have the default aging slider or the normal slider, you won’t have to worry about your Sims suddenly aging. If you’ve already set the slider to another level, you’ve got the problem, and changing it won’t fix things.

If you have already saved with this bug active, you will need to find a previous save state where your Sims are of the correct age. Other than a mod that resets ages, there is currently no way to restore your Sims to their previous state.

When The Sims solve the problem of aging?

Developers of The Sims reached through The Sims Twitter on July 27. They said they were investigating the issue and would work to resolve it. We would not expect an immediate solution, as this normally takes time. Just because a company identifies a problem doesn’t mean it will have a solution quickly; bug fixes don’t usually happen overnight.

Since the developers have paid so much attention to the problem, we believe that the solution will come soon. While they work on a solution, The Sims Twitter has asked players to use new saves with the default lifespan.

Since it’s clear that many players are stuck with aged Sims, we’re guessing this patch will come with the option to age Sims once you log in. This would be easy to implement and the smartest way to help players affected by the bug.
