Cedric Sims, Austin Wang Join Miter Leadership Team; Jason Providekes quoted

Miter has expanded its management team with the nomination of an industry veteran Cedric Sims as Senior Vice President of Innovation and Enterprise Integration and Intelligence Expert Austin Wang as Vice President of the Intelligence Center, Miter National Security.

Sims will provide strategies to drive enterprise-wide innovation and develop integration platforms to support government sponsors and manage research initiatives conducted through the Center for Data-Driven Policy and the Miter’s Center for Strategic Competition, Miter said Tuesday.

He will also oversee the McLean, Va.-based nonprofit research firm’s corporate strategy and management office, as well as the corporate IT, information and security business center.

Sims previously served as SVP for Justice, Homeland Security and Transportation operations at Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH). He has held senior positions in the US Secret Service and Department of Homeland Security and brings to this position more than 25 years of experience in cybersecurity, acquisition, systems engineering , risk management, artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Wang will oversee the development of joint multi-agency platforms through the integration of Miter’s national security enterprise and the intelligence community.

He spent more than two decades at the CIA, where he was a senior executive and head of covert technical operations. He worked on ground electronic warfare and signals intelligence while in the United States Marine Corps.
